If you choose to opt-out of immunizations, immunization waivers for non-medical reasons are no longer available in the school office or online. Certified State of Michigan Waivers MUST be obtained through the Health Department and have a validation stamp on them for ALL new students to Onsted Community Schools, ALL 7th grade and 2015-16 kindergarten students. For more information regarding waivers contact school nurse Laura Dowling at 467-7046, or the Lenawee County Health Department at 264-5226 to set up an appointment to obtain a waiver and beat the back-to-school rush in August.
Please see file below with new information regarding non-medical immunization waivers. For more information contact the Lenawee County Health Department at 264-5226 or Nurse Laura at 467-7046, ext.2222.

Vaccines are available at no charge for children (18 and younger) who have Medicaid, are uninsured, underinsured, are an American Indian or an Alaskan Native, or have exceeded their annual cap for preventive care. There is no charge for the vaccine but an administration fee of $12 per shot is assessed. Children who don’t meet any of the above criteria may still receive their shots at the health department, but will receive purchased vaccine and those vaccines may be costly.
